Rebecca
Chan Allen, Ph.D.
Rebecca Chan Allen brings over 2 decades' experience
as consultant, educator, facilitator and author in diversity, creativity,
and change. She has partnered with clients in community agencies,
governments and transnational corporations to leverage diversity
and foster inclusion. As shown in her book Guiding Change Journeys
(Jossey-Bass/Pfeiffer, 2001), Rebecca likes to integrate wisdom
practices from diverse cultures to facilitate synergy and transformation.
Selected by the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD)
for Training's New Guard 2001, Rebecca was nominated for HR Canada's
Practitioner of the Year and Calgary YWCA's Women of Distinction
in 1991. She serves on the OD Practitioner's Editorial Review Board.
Marcella
Benson-Quaziena, Ph.D.
Dr. Benson-Quaziena has over 15 years of experience consulting
for public and non-profit sectors in the areas of change management,
executive coaching, leadership development, diversity, and group
dynamics. She is an adjunct member of the faculty for the
Master's in Organization Development Program at the Fielding Graduate
Institute and Associate Staff with the Gestalt Institute of Cleveland.
Marcella has served as Deputy Director for the National Court Appointed
Special Advocate Association; Office Chief of Staff Development
Training and Diversity with the Children's Administration of the
Washington State Department of Health and Social Services and Diversity
Administrator for Washington State Department of Juvenile Administration.
Her passion for embracing diversity is embedded in her belief of
the "art of the possible" and her desire to take action
for human equity and kind.
Carol
Brantley
Carol Brantley's primary interest is in the development,
implementation, management and measurement strategies that foster
the optimum development and utilization of all individuals within
organizations. She has 15 years of OD consulting experience specializing
in diversity related initiatives. Her prior experience included
18 years as an accountant, market researcher, recruiter, manager
of employee relations and organization development consultant.
Carol also was Associate Executive Director at NTL Institute for
Applied Behavioral Sciences and served as a Practicum Advisor in
the American University/NTL Masters Degree Program in OD.
Her diversity articles include Success Indicators: Action and Reaction
in the Diversity Change Process, and On Measuring Diversity: Race
and Gender Dimensions. She is an active member of NTL Institute,
Organization Development Network and the Diversity Leadership Forum.
Michael
Brazzel, Ph.D.
Michael Brazzel is an organization development consultant,
economist, former manager in U.S. government agencies, and university
educator-researcher. As an internal and external consultant,
he has provided organization development and diversity/social justice
services to organizations for more than 20 years. Dr. Brazzel
holds an HRD master's degree from American University/NTL Institute
and an economics Ph.D. from Tulane University. He completed
post-graduate certificate programs with the Gestalt Institute of
Cleveland in Organization and System Development and Working with
Groups. Michael is a member of the NTL Institute. As
a white, heterosexual man, his life's work is based in the values:
respect for human differences, racial and social justice, and life-long
learning.
Elsie
Y. Cross
Elsie
Y. Cross is the CEO and President of Elsie Y. Cross Associates,
Inc. an O. D. firm in Philadelphia. She has consulted since
1972 to firms in Europe, the Caribbean and Africa and to US Fortune
100 Corporations, government agencies, and universities on the elimination
of racism, sexism, heterosexism and other forms of oppression.
She has been featured in the Los Angeles Times, N. Y. Times, the
Today Show and business and professional journals and published
Managing Diversity: The Courage to Lead in 2000. The firm
publishes the Diversity Factor, an on-line journal. Ms. Cross
is a member of NTL and was chair of the Board from 1976 through
1979.
Delyte
D. Frost, PhD
A seeker of truths, Delyte finds her heart in working
on deep change in herself, others and organizations. For thirty
years, Dr. Frost has committed her Organization Development practice
to large systems change, understanding power and oppression, and
leadership of diversity change initiatives in Fortune 500 companies.
Earning her doctorate in Organization Behavior in 1977 from the
Union Institute, Delyte has served as faculty in the American University/NTL
Graduate Program, the Antioch/New England Graduate School of Management
and the Wharton School of Executive Development. Articles include
A Special Place for White Women Only, Diversity Success Indicators
and Worst Practices in Diversity. Certified in Percept Orientation
and Dr. deBono's Parallel and Lateral Thinking, Delyte accesses
her experiences as a white, heterosexual, abled woman to claim the
connection of our souls to our group identities. She finds joy in
creating and holding containers for the development of Diversity
Practitioners.
James L. "Jack" Gant, Ph.D.
Jack Gant has spent three decades as an educator, administrator
and consultant at the high school, university and state department
levels in Florida. In the past two decades he has been assisting
organizations, government agencies, and individuals (including himself)
grow and develop. This Journey has taken place in the U. S., Caribbean,
Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and Namibia, Malawi and Somalia,
Africa. A Ph.D. degree from Florida State University and early
race-relations work in desegregating Florida schools has expanded
into a dedication to consulting in managing diversity. His
writing includes books: Temporary Systems and The Emerging Practice
of Organization Development, and articles: Learning from Experience
in Diversity and A Path to Competence Managing Diversity.
Cyndi
Harris, MSOD
Cyndi Harris consults, coaches, and facilitates learning
in her work in diversity and social justice, dynamics of power,
change and transition, interpersonal relations, leadership, and
organization development. She has over 18 years of experience consulting
to corporations, not-for-profit, community-based organizations,
and individuals. Cyndi has an MS in Organization Development from
American University/NTL, is a member of NTL Institute for Applied
Behavioral Science, Organization Development Network, and the International
Coach Federation. She actively works with and from her multiple
identities including, white and lesbian among others. The focus
of her doctoral work includes dynamics of uncertainty in learning
and transformation as well as the relationships of ecological identity,
environmental exploitation, and social justice.
Rick
Huntley, MSW
Rick Huntley, MSW, is an organization consultant, coach
and facilitator working in the areas of diversity, communication
and Power Equity Group (PEG) theory. He uses his skills
within his multiple group identities...African-American, gay and
male, among his other group identities, to facilitate strategic
organizational change around diversity. Rick has now been
consulting throughout the USA and the Caribbean for more than fifteen
years. As a writer, he has contributed to books, articles
and widely used models on multiculturalism, sexual orientation and
gender equity. He is a partner with newdynamics, a diversity
and organization development consulting firm. Along with his
newdynamics partners, he is co-authoring the soon to publish book,
Journeys of Race and Culture: Paths to Diversity.
Mark
Kaplan
Mark Kaplan is an Organizational Development consultant.
In his 17 years of practice he has consulted to numerous organizations,
facilitating leadership development, team building, organizational
assessment, and diversity management. His primary interest is in
working at and across boundaries in both a domestic and international
context. The primary focus of his recent work is management development
and managing diversity. Mark's pioneering work to include
sexual orientation in diversity change initiatives has been published
in two books: The Diversity Factor and The Promise of Diversity.
He has trained at NTL Institute and The Gestalt Institute of Cleveland.
He lives in Philadelphia.
Lennox E. Joseph, Ph.D.
Dr. Lennox E. Joseph is the Senior Change Consultant
at the World Bank Group (Washington, DC) and past President/CEO
of NTL Institute for Applied Behavioral Science. He serves
as consultant and trainer to Senior and Executive Management of
numerous organizations in Korea, China, Singapore, Brazil, Trinidad,
Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, England, France and Canada.
He is an expert in organizational and management development specializing
in organizational transformation and renewal, strategic repositioning
and valuing organizational diversities. He has over twenty years
in the training and consulting field and is an adjunct professor
at American University (Washington, D.C.)
Frederick
A. Miller
Frederick
A. Miller is the President and CEO of The Kaleel Jamison Consulting
Group. A pioneer and renowned authority on issues and opportunities
related to creating cultures of inclusion that leverage diversity,
he was noted in The Age of Heretics (Currency Doubleday, 1996) as
one of the forerunners of corporate change. Fred is the co-author
of The Inclusion Breakthrough: Unleashing the Real Power of Diversity
(Berrett-Koehler, 2002) and he frequently contributes to leading
publications in the training, OD, and HR fields. He is a former
board member of NTL, ASTD, the Organization Development Network,
and Ben & Jerry's.
Carol
Pierce
Carol
Pierce, newdynamics, is an OD consultant specializing in diversity
consulting and training, process consultation, and strategic planning
in flatter, less hierarchical structures. She is a developer of
widely-used models found in gender, multicultural, and sexual orientation
diversity training, and of the Power Equity Group Theory. She is
author of The Power Equity Group: A Guide for Understanding Equity
and Acknowledging Diversity; and a co-author of A Male/Female Continuum:
Paths to Colleagueship; Sexual Orientation and Identity: Heterosexual,
Lesbian, Gay and Bisexual Journeys; and the forthcoming book, Journeys
of Race and Culture: Paths to Valuing Diversity. She lives in Laconia,
NH.
Daisy Ríos, Ph.D.
Daisy Ríos provides consultation to organizations interested
in becoming model organizations in empowering people. Her interests
include engaging groups in processes that stimulate creativity and
lead to collective learning, utilizing managing diversity practices
as key strategic components in organizational change and supporting
individuals in their professional and personal development.
Dr. Ríos collaboratively designed and delivered a five-year program
focused on the art and practice of leadership in women's communities.
She also delivers professional development programs for Latina/os.
Daisy earned a Ph.D. from Temple University. She has worked
as a college counselor, educator and civil and family mediator and
is fluent in the English and Spanish languages.
Cathy
L. Royal, Ph.D
Cathy L. Royal, Ph.D is a System and Human Development
professional with specialties in diversity, structural equality,
Appreciative Inquiry (AI) and organizational transformation.
In 1998, Dr. Royal founded IMAGINE US-The Diversity Institute.
A learning institute dedicated to using Quadrant Theory toward the
elimination of oppression. Imagine US also presents Appreciative
Inquiry theory as a pathway to preferred cultural change.
She is a member, trainer and the Ken Benne Scholar for the NTL Institute
for Applied Behavioral Science (NTL). And created the
intensive seven (7) day residential NTL Diversity Facilitation Skills
lab. US congress has recognized for her work on gender
and empowerment and she is a recipient of The Fielding Institute
Social Justice award.
Alexsandra
K. Stewart, M.A.
Alexsandra Stewart is an organization and human development consultant
specializing in Appreciative Inquiry, diversity and creativity. She
co-facilitated “Imagine South Carolina: a statewide dialogue on race
and communities;” designated an innovative approach for creating dialogue
on race by the Center for Living Democracy. Alexsandra is a white,
heterosexual woman, member of a multicultural and multiracial family,
passionate about social justice and equity, who speaks some Spanish
and has a personal goal of becoming bi-lingual. Currently researching
a book examining US history and oppression, she co-authored a chapter
in Lessons From the Field: Practical Applications for Appreciative
Inquiry. She has a BA and BFA from the University of Minnesota, an
MA in Human Development from St. Mary’s College and is a member of
NTL Institute.
