The NTL Institute Foundation is dedicated to the expansion and application of the field of applied behavioral science. Through participant scholarships, facility development, program development, and action research the NTL Institute Foundation addresses the needs of an increasingly diverse and interdependent world.

The Foundation seeks funding for and allocates support for:

  • Scholarships: the foundation will support the participation of individuals from not-for-profit domestic and international organizations with a special emphasis on people of color and participants from developing countries who would not otherwise have the opportunity to engage in and learn from NTL Institute's work.

  • Facilities development: the Foundation seeks to develop NTL Institute's Bethel property into a state-of-the-art facility for training and an environment that provides participants with maximum learning opportunities.

  • Program development: the Foundation supports new program development focused on the application of skills to strengthen individual effectiveness, organizational capacity building, to address complex, systemic change and innovation, promote community development, and maximize the contributions of increasingly diverse workforces and communities.

  • Research: the Foundation supports research that fosters a spirit of inquiry and engagement and improves the knowledge and skills of practitioners. The Foundation's research focuses in the following broad areas: group dynamics and group process, participatory planned change, self as an instrument of change, learning methodologies and applications, research in community development, and cross-cultural differences.
